Classic Profile View Has Been Retired

Dear sir, Since you have introduced the new profile, Japanese characters in the title of my profile has turned into unreadable. I had tried to overwrite it with the same texts, and it was stored correctly while it was waiting for your authorization, however, when it was published, it changed into unreadable again. I believe something is going wrong with the character encoding in either your template or your user database. Actually I reported a couple of times about this in SiteSupport's Blog Site Problem and Bug Reports September 2010 as well so please check it out as well (though some comments I made have been left "pending review" for a couple of days. As I asked in the SiteSupport's Blog, I seriously ask you to consider employing Japanese (and of other "official language") native speakers in your office: frankly: it is getting unbearably stressful. Ryan, I do apologize for writing you instead of making a comment in your blog. The last thing that was said is that the new profile will be placed on hold and LesbianPersonals will keep the old profile view for now. As I'm writing you the new profile view is up and the old isn't. Could you please tell me why and if I can change it? I've been a paying member for a long time and I feel that LesbianPersonals not only isn't listening to me but to the other vast majority of paying members. Plain and simple we don't want the NEW PROFILE VIEW, we want to keep it the way it was. I also have a problem with getting flirts from young women who are in their 20's. Not all are from Ghana but they all have one thing in common. They tell you how nice and God fearing they are, and just want a nice man to meet. I'm 50 will be 51 in Dec. I have listed in my age preferences 40's to 50 something. Something needs to be done to stop that as well. When I first joined LesbianPersonals there were hardly any problems with the site. Another problem with the new profile view is that you can see all of someones activities. Look at your profile and you will see what I mean. If I want someone to see everything I'm doing on the site the choice should be mine not yours. Just as soon as LesbianPersonals started to make changes the site has had nothing but problems. When are they going to start to listen to what we the paying members have to say? Remember if we all stopped paying then the site would go down. Last I heard the customer was always right. In this case we the paying members are the customer. When is LesbianPersonals going to start to listen to us? At the very least you could send out a survey asking us what we want or what we think LesbianPersonals could do to improve the site. Well I am tired of the problems with this site so this is my last day as a gold member. the new profile sucks. don't like it at all for any reason.constantly being logged off, Now Im wondering how many times I will have to send this, hint for others hit copy before sending as it mostly take more then once before it gets sent.

Thanks HAL. I'll forward over to our team that does the encoding. Just to be clear, this is the title box where you say, ""Seeking discreet, "casual but honest," sensual relationships" right? They were stored correctly when I saved, however, it changed unreadable when authorized and published: so I had to quit attach Japanese in the title.

Here's another "glitch" I just discovered. Despite setting my Gold Membership auto-renew to OFF after my last renewal, I just checked it and LesbianPersonals has--once again!--set it to ON. I suggest every paying member check to make sure that their preferences reflect their choice before their membership expiration date.

Hello Dom, yes it probably needs more clarity on that issue about refunds. If they terminated your account you might get some refund back but not the total amount. The only other option you might a refund if you died and the refund goes back to your estate. At? least how I understood it? Hello, as if anything you buy here on the internet or even real life. You have to keep a watch on your billing history. I know I do if I do not watch I know they will automatically charge me. So it is best to turn the auto off the week before it expires. Then check it again to make sure it is off. Yes as Dom says this is a old issue and it is nothing new. I don't like the new version - bring back the old - LISTEN to your customers for a change. While I know I'm not a paying member, I used to tell all my "lifestyle" friends that this was the best site - I no longer do that!

The only refunds I have ever heard of being made were when someone's auto renew was erroneously turned on and a renewal fee was charged without the member's consent. Even then, it takes weeks to get the refund. I have never heard of anyone leaving the site and being comped even a prorated amount back. If it happens, which I wouldn't bet on, I simply never heard it.

I think it looks great. No matter what changes are made, some people will always be unsatisfied but customer feedback is still very important.

Why even have this blog when you don't listen to what the LesbianPersonals members have to say? You ask us for our opinions and what do you do with then? You ignore what we have to say. Look at all of the responses that are telling LesbianPersonals that they don't like the new profile view, yet you still insist on keeping it. Since LesbianPersonals doesn't listen to what we have to say then why don't you just close this blog up for good? I don't like the new profile.I don't approve of blog comments being posted on the home page out of context. I sincerely hope LesbianPersonals managers consider the opinion of the paying membership. the new profile is too spread out,requiring extensive scrolling to view the various parts of a profile

First, Can you tell us how in steps to block the things in our profile we don't want others to see, since the way you told us doesn't work? I tried to block things I consider to be private such as the groups I'm in. Funny thing is all are blocked but one. I found this out by having a friend look at my profile. Why I look at a profile I look at it because I want to find out more about the person. I don't want to see comments made by others on her picture, and other things. Even the people who were in the Beta testing the new profile view didn't like it and said so. You, stated the change was necessary to allow for more pictures, and better viewing of pictures. All it's done is to create havoc among LesbianPersonals users. So now the viewers are faced with two options keep the profile on or turn it off. If we turn it off people can't see anything we don't want them to see. Then again unless we email them they can't see or profile. This is a big improvement over the old profile view? Once again I'd like to know when is LesbianPersonals going to start listening to there members? Why does LesbianPersonals insist on making changes when there not necessary? With all of the feed back why don't you listen to the members? When is LesbianPersonals going to hire competent programmers so we don't continue to have these problems? Redluv, if they keep this up, they're going to lose at least one paying customer when my membership expires. I'm seriously tired of this crap. Ironically, the only good thing about the new profile view is that it's now so wide I can't see any of the ads running up the right side of the window. My laptop screen literally isn't big enough to see that part of the profile without scrolling. Good planning there, LesbianPersonals. LOL BTW, to repeat what I said earlier, every paying member needs to recheck their Auto-Renew settings since the change, since LesbianPersonals reset them to Auto-Renew ON with the latest changes. If you're not seeing that annoying "Are you sure you don't want to renew your membership?" message each time you sign on, then it's probably set to ON instead of OFF.

I like the classic profile..Everyone here has stated that it seems.. Why mess with something that works well.. Tired of all the screw-ups..Hope you get something right some time soon..

The "classic" version is far more modern, efficient, and attractive. In classic, relevant sections are next to one another, and it loads faster. This current version is annoying, looks terribly unprofessional (like some off the shelf software designed it for you, without knowledge of web design), and very old-fashioned (like some 1920's Time magazine cover). The current design maximizes borders (wasted space) and that activity section is useless - and is a far greater security problem than putting email addesses in chat or messages - because users can't control this section and it reveals too much personal activity. It's time you listen to the people who pay for using this site. The web cam window changed too, with text above the cam section and text below it. Put all text at the bottom. The current method takes too much screen space - horrible unprofessional design. Speaking of cams - only gold members who pay extra, should be able to ban viewers from the cam. Too many ppl on my friend network click on the ban and they keep asking me why I'm not viewing them. Most websites don't have a ban/deny viewer unless they're reporting abuse.
