Sure, bugs first .. but question was for future ideas. I already put my 2 bits into that one.

Still unclear as to gold / silver perks for "Blogs" ... mainly interested 1. if the rumour that gold / silver will get faster or immediate posting on not,...and 2. if there there will be a difference here between silver and gold ... seriously considering paying again if posts are immediate for payers.

Again, THANK YOU for all the improvements .....i am impressed and apreciative!!!

Yes, we are currently testing having posts by premium members
for premium members showing up immediately after being posted.
So far, we have not seen that much abuse

Please Mr CEO....let me sound off about something in the Most Popular blog area! Why is it fair that someone who posts polls 5or6 times a day has just taken over the top blogger spot from Mzhuny....who blogs her little heart out! This is just wrong! The polls already have a spot of their own. And in my opinion...the poll feature would be better used in the advice column....not in the blogs! Please do something about this....in case you haven't noticed....everyone is up in arms about it!

Personally, I do not care for most of the polls. My original thought was that they belonged elsewhere on the site...and maybe they do. However, my opinion has changed somewhat...

The bottom line for me is that I do not want to start seeing a bunch of rules or guidelines as to what makes up an 'official blog' or not. (and, yes, I am aware that there are quite a few lines that I've written beneath my 'bottom line' lol! )

Today...the rally is against polls, what is it tomorrow? Specific word count? Limits on how many blogs can be posted per day? Or, worse, a quota to maintain? Subject matter? It's ridiculous.

Leave the polls as a feature that can be used like pics or fonts, colors, or anything else. And having the polls have their own little 'popularity' list (as it is now at the bottom of the blog page) allows people who enjoy them to go straight for them.

Comments should count as comments (IF they are going to be counted) - it should not matter how they are elicited. Whether from someone posting a quality blog entry, a really good joke, a news item, or a poll. We all have different tastes and the blogs should remain wide open to accomodate them.

I have made use of the polls, but I rarely use them. As for lumping the many types of posts into different categories, such as erotica, humour, etc., some people are likely to lose readership. My blog tends to be diverse. I rarely write about sex, but I have plenty other subjects to write about. As well as sorting them out by location, well, you can count the bloggers in my area on one hand.

Also, I have to question why one has to pay to use some of these new features, like responding to someone who commented on your post? I would think that would not be a deciding factor in purchasing a membership. Just a question.

Personally, I like it the way it is.

Come into my realm! You aren't afraid...are you?

How about a connection from the blog to the hot list/search view and vice versa?

1. I think a simple "Search" tool for ANY words in blog ..... plus categories. # of times it appears counts for more word weight. (don't forget derivations, plurals etc.)?

2. May I touch on another subject which does relate somewhat. We are trying for "fairness", right?. Then please consider the "BLOGS" Page .... this is the ONLY relevant place where one who is NOT on the "Most Popular" (99.9% of bloggers, including some great ones)gets seen. That page is static often for long varying periods of time ... often several hours ...

This means any posts made after it last updated itself never get on it , as the only latest post fill it upon the next delayed update.
Like rolling the dice ... sometimes you miss being on it at all .. .other times you might "stuck" there for hours, piling up hundreds of views.

I believe this is one of the main reasons those on "Most Popular" list get to stay there ... and others have no chance ... cause the top ones get seen all the time ... it becomes self - perpetuating for them. Those not on list usually are not even seen on the "Latest Posts list as described above and will never catch up.

Hope I explained it clearly enough ... as I feel this is the most critical issue of ALL!!

Thank You for all the listening and replying you have been doing ... much appreciated! .. much respected!

Thank You! ...... LilJessicaSQuirt

Example of what i meant by "fairness".... just noticed that i have a post
1. not picked up by system after 5 1/2 hours
& 2. the Main "Blog" Page has been static for 5 1/2 hours ....

Meanwhile, the "most popular" ones are seen by all on their "popular blogs" list just keep on getting lots of views accordingly, piling up a bigger lead while others get none.

These 2 items together totally kill many good bloggers (not on "popular" list) chances of ever being seen a lot.

that is why i think this is critical issue to give some great bloggers a chance. .... that'swhat i meant by being on the list becomes self perpetuating and others can never catch up..or even get the views many deserve to get.

I know this is NOT deliberate on part of LesbianPersonals, just wanted to demonstrate how unfair it is is all.

Thank You Again! ...... Lil♥Jessica♥SQuirt

Oh, a funny point ... i tried blog spellchecker for 1st time on above comment .... it did good overall, but said there was no such words as ... blog.....blogger.....blogging ... etc.. lol ...... made my day!!!, broke me up totally.

My alter-egos want to get their pictures in the paper. How 'bout an option to enter non-member pix into posts?

PS: I've been in BlogLand for a year now. I've enjoyed expressing myself here immensely.

Blog On!

I tend to be in agreement with the majority of posters. My blog can't be categorized into one topic. Most of the blogs I read can't be categorized into one topic. The polls can be useful, but there is that one person who is abusing them and pissing off all of blogland.

There are so many other things that already exist that still need fixing. Comments don't stick and you have to post five or six times before the comment does stick. Then there's the chance that you're the only one who can see it and only when signed in through your account. The owner of the blog and the other visitors won't see the comment and that's been causing a few problems around here to say the least. People getting upset, thinking the blog owner deleted their comments, or left a reply for everyone but him or her.

We still don't have a fill in the blank for the moods list. Deleted comments don't stay deleted. Hidden posts don't want to stay hidden. I say fix what's wrong before complicating things further. Not to mention, just as with the polls, there is a way to abuse the system for extra hits to the blogs using keywords.

I know the idea of the site is sex sells, however, most of us are also aware we can Google our handles and up will pop our profile, our pictures, our blogs, our magazine comments, for the entire world to see, without even being signed into the site. Therefore, some of us aren't willing to write about our sexual exploits, real or imagined. (Most of what I see in that vein look like fantasy stories that were rejected by Penthouse Letters.) Not to mention, the ONLY two relationship choices on profiles are discreet and serious. So if you actually are looking for anything in either of those veins, why would you kiss and tell in your blog? That is far from being discreet.
