Kinda glad I wasn't naked....

I MAY have gotten a little too much sun today...but it was so good to hang out at the pool for a few hours with the family, floating around, diving for those plastic ring things with my ten year old, checking out the soccer moms and their bikinis, enjoying the sunshine and heat for a change!

Officially it was only 30 degrees Celsius, and there was no wind, and higher humidity. My temperature gauge at home said it was closer to 35...at any rate, what a gorgeous day and more tomorrow they say...and w are going to enjoy it by building our back deck I think...with maybe a little swim break again...

Have a good one friends!

If you had been lounging alongside of a convectional pool, the air temperature is a critical factor in cooking time and degree of doneness.

However, since I suspect that you were perving all the soccer moms by a conventional pool, the UV Index plays a somewhat larger role in the activation of dermal melanin.

BTW, Thanx for the reminder to get back to work on my rotisserie chaise...

Better use some sun screen tomorrow! That's mighty red. Sounds like you are having a good summer. Oh, and if it is that hot, you shouldn't be building a deck. There will be cooler days to come.

I love that show! I like it when the guy is handy... at least then I know he can feel his way!

Splashin' a little white vinegar on a sunburn will zap out the *burn*
.........and in the meantime, you got some great hands to be building decks amongst other things, my friend! Enjoy the sun! xo

Just a little food for thought.............

So I'm reading this book about medical crap and the writer says that if you wear sunglasses you will get a sunburn because, the hormone needed to increase melanin (the stuff that increases the pigment in your skin) is controlled by how much sunlight is registered in your eyes. Which makes me wonder if blind people get burned more than people with eyesight? But you do know they make this wonderful stuff called sunscreen ?

LustyTaurus replies on 8/11/2009 11:16 pm:
I don't know about the blind folks, and I had sunscreen on but maybe it wasn't as water proof as they said?...I dunno, but I'll have to be more careful!

Taurus,

Don't waste time with the soccer moms.

Trust me on this.

You know that FYI shade of red you use? I was that 7 times this summer since I got the boat going again. And twice this winter. You know those few and far between days where it hits double digit temps (F) gotta get out in it.
