It's finally over.

It's finally over.





After four very long years mixed with all sorts of emotions, It's finally over.

At 5pm today, my submitted her thesis.
I have been counting down the hours all day. I only managed to give her 10mins to gather herself before I had to call her.

With tears I could not stop, I asked her how she was feeling, and was she happy with her final work, to which she replied that she was.
We were both crying with relief and disbelief that it was now over....until her next venture.

I am so proud of her, and what she has had to go through with her ex stalking her. She held herself together, sometimes just, and has now finished her University degree.

I love her so much, and can't wait to give her the biggest hug.

She is having a year off before doing post grad. You are only allowed to work 15 hours a week, so she is doing a TAFE course to become a personal trainer, as they get paid quite well so should hopefully earn enough to support herself.

Was hoping she could do it down here, but she left it too late to apply, so has applied in Coffs.

 It is funny how we seem to get so much more enjoyment out of our children's achievements than our own. Perhaps that is what being a parent is about, or maybe our own lives are way too boring!

I do enjoy it when the kids do well, after all they have their future all ahead of them, and as a parent, we would like to think it will be a good one.

 I agree with all these type of thoughts, it "make you feel" that you accomplish something through them, but their life are not our life.
The question is, if we die now are we happy with our lives? Are we satisfy with all we did and did not? Do we have that peace inside and feel that we are ready?
Very big questions.

It is a shame sometimes that we can't put an old head on young shoulders, but I suppose we have to make mistakes, it makes us what we are.

I still have a few things in my life to do before I can die knowing I did all that I could.
