Continue on... It is often said A woman is in her prime When she is her forties I have often wondered Have I peaked too soon? The passion I long to feel Has it already passed by As tho it had already been obtained At some earlier point in time Leaving me empty and longing for more As I gaze at coupled around me I am mesmorized by their obvious desire Stolen kisses and tender touches Fueled by the lust That has managed to consume them. Oh how I ache for that passion That has been remiss for far too too long. How I long to be caressed and wanted To feel vital once more As we surrender to that which we can no longer control. I scream to the heavens Where is my passion? Have you stolen it from me Or am I no longer worthy Of these dreams and desires? Have I offended you, my mentor I am confused and fearful. As your Muse I am strong and confident But now I wonder if I have failed As I seek that passion now stilled. I close my eyes in silent prayer Afraid of the answer that awaits me. Bring to me my passion and joy As we wallow in our drunken bliss Let us drown our sorrows. My body begins to tingle I feel it from my head to my feet It electrifies my senses. I consumed by it's power This raw intense feeling. I may be mere mortal Yet you and I Are touched by Erato's kiss We can obtain the passion of the gods And become united with them.
