Average is not a range. The most recent study I am aware of is the average size in the US is 5.57”. The study had to do with condom size, finding the current condom size is an inch too long, with the industry looking at sizing down to encourage more men to use them. I don’t think smaller/shorter condoms will make any difference, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of length as reason not to use one.

As a side note, yes, some call me a cynic but I am simply a direct realist - those who say you have a 5 or 6 incher or so and have never disappointed a woman (which at least 10 people said in this discussion, maybe many more), it's important to be honest and reasonable.
