Across the causeway.

I had a recent trip across the causeway during the long Wesak Day weekend. It comprises of 3 families, all having a working there except mine who is studying in NUS.

My flight to Singapore by Firefly was delayed for more than an hour, it left at 6.10 pm. Landed at Changi at 7.35 pm. My and niece from KL (+ bf) were at the airport to welcome us. Niece played host to our stay in Singapore.

We left the airport and proceeded to Jumbo Seafood Restaurant which was on the way to the city. We had our dinner there. The food was good.

Unloaded our luggage at niece's apartment, refreshed ourselves and off we went to Marina Bay Sands. The underground car park was very big, could easily accommodate more than a thousand cars. Buggies were provided to ferry gamblers to the nearest staircases and escalators to the Casino. We had to undergo 3 security checks before we were allowed into the casino. This was done to make sure we were foreigners, not Singaporean or PRs who have to pay $100 to enter.

The casino consists of two floors, ground floor for smokers and first floor for non. The view was beautiful.

The next morning, we had our breakfast at Ya Kun, famous for its coffee and toasts. Then we packed some clothes and drove to Capella Hotel in Sentosa Island. The main building is a former British Officers Mess. The view from the room was breath-taking.

That evening, we went to Resorts World Singapore. Visited Universal Studios but tickets for Hollywood Boulevard were all sold out. Went into the Casino. Here, we were checked only once. The place looks modern but like the casino in Genting.

The next day, we had lunch at Vevo City and since its the Great Singapore Sale, the whole afternoon was spend shopping.

All in all, this trip was an enjoyable one. Poor niece will have a big hole in her pocket. Where ever I went, I noticed there were many Asian ladies with Caucasian men.

Since it was a family outing, I was an angel , no mischief. Will you?

Why the sudden silence after 2 topics?
Foremost, I have to apologise to viewers who have nothing new to read.

Firstly, my a month old pc is giving me problems earlier in the week. It hung far to often with Windows 7. I have called my pc technician and he had rectified the problem, I hope.

Secondly, I'm not well for the past 3 days. I came back to reply to the comments of a friend who gave me moral support to blog. I really appreciate her effort.

I'll continue to blog when I am well enough. Meantime, let me suffer alone and all of you enjoy yourselves to the fullest, okay?

Yesterday, while I was writing my first blog, a call came through to say that what I booked for has arrived. In fact it arrived on the evening of the day before by trailer.

Well, what was the surprise? Its my Toyota Camry which I placed a booking about 3 weeks ago. Usually, it takes 5 to 6 weeks for the booking to be fulfilled, at the earliest. Mine is a different case. I tendered and got my number plate almost 3 months ago and if I don't register a car by then, I will have to surrender the number plate to JPJ and loose my RM800+. I have another week before it expires. The sales person said his manager had to call up the other sole agents and dealers to obtain the car.

I will not curse or swear at the sales person if I don't get my car because it was all my fault. After I obtained the tender, a senior member of the family fell serious ill and suffered for more than 3 weeks before she went to heaven. Busy with rushing to hospital and nursing home, this tender was put aside until after the funeral and the first 7 days prayer ceremony.

Currently, I am using a 2009 E200K(A) W211, my dream car and the one I can afford. Its a Sports Edition 2 model with many accessories. What I like the most are the 18 inch wheels fitted with 245 (front) and 265 (rear) Continental tyres. It will put a big hole in my pocket when they are bald.

I have another car, Honda City VTEC, which I bought for my as a reward for obtaining very good grades in major exams - PMR 7As, SPM 11As and STPM 4As and a B+. He is now pursuing an engineering degree at the National University of Singapore. He is my only . I would love to have more , but there are no regrets now because I feel so fortunate that I have one. I will sell off this car because my will not be back - 4 years degree course and bonded for 3 years (work for Singapore Government or Singapore registered company). He may get a PR and remain in Singapore for many years.

Cars are my passion and my weakness, not sex. Whenever there is a new car launched, without fail, I will be there to test drive it. In my younger days, I used to change my cars every 3 to 4 years. Not anymore, I'll use the present set of cars for a much longer period of time, for, they are depreciating commodities.

Everyone should somehow or other in their life-time own a new car
(whatever brand they can afford), for, our last ride in a vehicle to the cemetery or crematorium will be a used one, right?

I wanted to start my own blog for many weeks but somehow something would crop up at the very last minute. Well, here I am now.

Joined this site after reading articles in the newspaper about "Game for some swinging" in July of 2008. It said, "there is a new trend in town. And most may frown upon it, but many are practicing it in secret".

After joining, it took me two to three weeks to read through all the local comments and blogs before I started to comment. I was full of enthusiasm then.

I was even appointed as an assistant Moderator in one of the groups. Not anymore now, after I was snubbed by a members of that group. In fact, I asked to be relieved of the post after I got emotional and stressed. Friends called up and said this is a game and if someone don't fancy you, just move on. Another asked if I was in love with her. No way. Treat her like my , maybe, because during the few months of exchanging sms and mails, I never mentioned about sex. Got to know her likes and dislikes and even had the thought of giving her treats with the food she liked. All this is now just wishful thinking, it can't be fulfilled. Anyway, she seems to be happy in her group and I wish her well.

I'm here to exchange ideas and comments with people with the same interest. All this while I have never snub, cheat, harass, threaten, intimidate, victimise or abuse any individual or group. I admit, sometimes my comments are sarcastic. Most times my comments are teases.

I hold strongly to the saying, 'do not do to others what you do not want others to do to you'. What about you?
